Larena Triad Restaurant and Coffee Shop

During a recent adventure race I joined in Siquijor during the 22nd annual convention of the Regional Association of Development Information Officers 7 (RADIO 7) last 28-30 October 2015, one of the challenges involved cooking lunch at the Triad Restaurant and Coffee Shop on top of the hills in Larena town.

What's in a Name: Why Triad?

The Triad Restaurant and Coffee Shop is so named because it offers a vantage view of the triad of the other islands that comprise Central Visayas: Negros, Cebu, and Bohol. It is also located within the trio of barangays Nonoc, Cang-alias, and Cangbagsa in the town of Larena.

Who Runs the Place?

The Triad is owned by dentists Napoleon and Elena Masayon. While they are dentists, they are more known to be business owners in the construction and real estate industry. They opened the Triad in the year 2008. Since then, it has become part and parcel of day tours that many tourists who visit the island take.

Why Go To Triad?

Triad Restaurant and Coffee Shop is a full service restaurant and cafe. But more than just sipping your cup of coffee, having a hearty meal, or delighting in a delicious snack, there is more that the Triad can offer.

Spectacular Views

The Triad offers spectacular views overlooking the island as well as the silhouettes of the islands of Bohol, Cebu, and Negros. From it's viewing deck, one can delight in the verdant greenery of the mystic island. Also, one can marvel at the wonderful view of the coastline from the viewing deck.

Relaxing Ambiance

For city-dwellers who have grown too tired of the hum-drums of the stressful urban lifestyle, the laid back aura amid all the greenery at the Triad provides a welcome respite for the weary soul. Literally breathe some fresh air at Triad and let the gentle mountain breeze caress your worries away, at least for a fleeting moment.

Good Food

Food at the Triad is good. The best thing is that food is not expensive. A dish that costs PhP 350 can already serve a total of three (3) persons. Their halo-halo and ice cream are a must try for first time visitors specially on a hot and humid day.

How To Get There

The Triad Restaurant and Coffee Shop is located within three (3) barangays: Nonoc, Cangbagsa, and Cang-alias. When coming from Siquijor town heading to Larena via the Siquijor Circumferential Road, there is a directional sign on the right that points directions towards the location of Triad.

Here is a screenshot of a Facebook map showing the location of Triad:
