Right outside the town hall in Dauis town on Bohol province's Panglao Island is a memorial to the brave men and women of the town who fought against the Japanese invaders in World War II.
World War II Veterans Memorial
Constructed between 2007 and 2010, the monument was built by the joint efforts of the municipal government of Dauis and the Dauis Veterans Post - Veterans Federation of the Philippines.
The monument has a base or pedestal of about six (6) feet. Standing on the platform were three life-sized figures: an American officer flanked by a Filipino soldier and a Filipino guerilla.
