Waterfalls in the Philippines: Cambugahay Falls in Siquijor

Cambugahay Falls in Lazi, Siquijor is among the more popular tourist attractions in the mystic island. The 135-step descent is rewarded by the majestic view of a beautiful waterfall. Do note that there are no guardrails as you descend from the stone steps but a guide will help you go through it.

Vine Swing

A must do when in Cambugahay Falls is to do the vine swing ala Tarzan before letting go and jumping into the water. The nice thing about this is that even non-swimmers can experience the vine swing as the depth of the water at the landing area is only neck-deep for the average Filipino male(about 5'4"). Yes, I did that! Well, after a lot of prodding from virtually all the tourists who were visiting that day. Oh, how they applauded when I finally did it after so much hesitation.

Waterfall Diving

For the more daring souls, they can try diving off the 2 levels of waterfalls into the 10-foot deep pool below it. I wasn't courageous enough to do this.

Just Chill

For the more conservative ones, they can just sit there and listen to the relaxing sound of water flowing downstream. Or take a dip in the cool refreshing waters.
