Ging-ging's Restaurant in Malapascua Island, Cebu, Philippines

I was of the expectation that dining in Malapascua Island, Daanbantayan, Cebu, Philippines would be quite expensive. But when we got to the northern Cebu island, I was proven wrong. While there are expensive restaurants in the island, there are places to get affordable meals to. One of these places is Ging-ging's Restaurant where we had breakfast on our last day at the Central Visayas island.

Prior to placing our orders, our host Radj warned us that the orders may take some time to get served. While our minds were already conditioned to wait, the wait did not really last that long. Well, breakfast shouldn't take too long to cook so maybe we were in luck.

I also noticed there weren't a lot of people eating breakfast at Ging-ging's. Probably more people go there for lunch or dinner. But even the night before when one of our friends dined at Ging-ging's, he said the service also did not take that long.

Or maybe I was just in great company that the length of time we waited for our food did not seem to matter. Our French friends ordered some pancakes. Servings were huge and could feed two (2) people. The Filipinos in the party settled with omelets and the usual Filipino breakfast meals like pork tocino. I ordered some bacon, tomato, and onion omelet and I loved it. But the meat of the pork tocino was hard and I wished it was more tender. I tasted some of the mango pancakes and I loved it too. There were also banana pancakes and chocolate pancakes.
