I have finally completed another 30-day blog posting challenge. This time it is for the Around the Philippines blog. Most of the articles were about my experiences from a late October trip in the sensational mystic island of fire and 3rd smallest province in the Philippines, Siquijor.
The trip to Siquijor was made possible through the connections of the Cebu Blogging Community (CBC) with the Philipine Information Agency (PIA). I joined nine (9) other CBC-affiliated bloggers who served as blogger mentors and resource persons during the 22nd annual regional convention of the Regional Association of Development Information Officers 7 (RADIO 7). The RADIO 7 convention were participated in by tourism officers from the Central Visayas provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor and information officers belonging to the five different organizations: Bohol's Association of United Development Information Officers (AUDIO), Cebu Association of City and Municipal Public Information Officers (CAOCAMPIO), Association of Negros Oriental Public Information Officers (ANOPIO), Siquijor Association of Information Disseminators (SAID), and Association of Government Information Officers (AGIO).
The highlight of the conference was the 1st ever #InfoTourismAdventureRace which took teams around Siquijor Island's tourist attractions. It was because of this adventure race that I was able to write a lot of articles about Siquijor. Add to that the fact that my team never really competed but were more excited about going to places of interest in the province, even those that were not in the itinerary.
