On the Saturday before our February 1 interview at the U.S. embassy, we went to Robinsons Galleria on foot at late morning nursing a slight hangover from our night out with some Manila-based friends in Taguig City the previous night. It was almost lunch time when we got to the mall in Manila's Ermita district. We went around the mall for a while checking out places where we can have brunch. We didn't mind spending a bit more than the usual as this was going to be two (2) meals fused together. Plus we did not spend that much on meals the day before. On the second level of the mall, a small diner caught our attention. Me and my brother love shrimps and this place happens to scream that out: The Shrimp Shack.

Surf N' Surf
My brother Nathan ordered one of the house specialties: Surf N' Surf which consists of three (3) pieces shrimp scampi, a serving of shrimp popcorn, and two (2) cups of rice. He had all the shrimp he wanted. I tried the shrimp popcorns and they were awesome.

Surf N' Turf
As for me, I ordered the other specialty item which was Surf N' Turf consisting of pot roast beef, three (3) pieces shrimp scampi, chicken macaroni salad, and two (2) cups of rice. It was worth a try. Half the dish was already awesome with the shrimp scampi.

Dessert
We also ordered a serving of dessert that had chocolate, ice cream, peanut butter, and caramel on it. To top it off, the ice cream cake was sprinkled with ground peanuts and chocolate syrup. That one was heavenly.
